The Swiss Sensation
Chef Anton Mosimann
6th-10th November 2007
Born in 1947,
Chef Anton Mosimann, or the King of Kitchens as he would
become known, showed a distinct love of gourmet from a young
age, using his parents' restaurant as a palette for his
marvelous creations. His passion paid off in 1975, when, at
29, he was appointed as the youngest ever Maitre Chef de
Cuisine at the Dorchester. It was during his 13-year tenure
at London's most prestigious hotel too that Chef Anton
achieved his second milestone; earning two Michelin Stars
for the hotel, the first ever establishment outside France
to do so.
The rest, they say, is history. After reinventing British
food, Chef Anton went on to bringing his unique culinary
vision throughout Europe, Canada, the Far East and Japan. He
has since written over 10 best-selling books, invented the
Cuisine Naturelle philosophy that has inspired a revolution
in the culinary industry, set up a host of
gastronomic-related establishments including Mosimann's in
Belgravia, the Mosimann Academy in Battersea and Mosimann's
Party Services, all while receiving countless accolades such
as an Order of the British Empire from Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II and the Catey Lifetime Achievement Award from
the British Catering Industry. |
