Light Up The Night Sky

What is Chinese New Year without the tell-tale bangs of firecrackers exploding?

But as spectacular as firecrackers are with their loud explosions, they pale in the awe-inspiring stakes when compared to the sheer wonder of light and sound that comes from fireworks. Although modern day fireworks utilise complex mechanised and computerised firing systems, the craft of making and launching fireworks is one that goes back a thousand years.

During Chinese New Year, fireworks displays are one of the main attractions at Genting - City of Entertainment. Perhaps the grandest one would be the one that takes place on New Year’s Eve. On that night, the crowd will throng outside Genting Hotel to watch a magnificent showcase of pyrotechnics lighting up the night sky, making it a memorable start to the festivities.
