Come 7 February 2008, over 2 billion people who make up the ethnic Chinese population of the world will celebrate the Lunar New Year (or Chinese New Year). This 15-day festival is probably one of the most anticipated and colourful in the Chinese calendar - marked with food, decorations, and traditions seeped with legend.

Chinese New Year is known to be a celebration of life. This festival also marks the passing of Winter and the coming of Spring.
